My first time in the Galapagos Islands
Land Iguana | The Galapagos Islands
This day later, I was able to meet the famous Galapagos giant tortoises. On the island of Santa Cruz, you can see the giant Galapagos tortoises known for being the largest in the world. Also, I learned to differentiate between male and female turtles and now I can tell when a turtle is young or adult (not just based on its size). But the funniest thing was when I realized that turtles don’t eat ¨guaba¨ (fruit in Spanish), turtles eat guava (which is guayabas in Spanish), I had a little confusion between my English and my Spanish.

After visiting Genovesa Island, the only island where you can see red-footed boobies and Nazca boobies, it is a wonderful place to meet the young Red-footed Boobies and Nazca Boobies, swallow-tailed gulls that are considered the most beautiful and attractive Galapagos Islands. In addition to knowing the palo santo tree, it is undoubtedly delicious to be able to smell its sap. Everything is definitely impressive on Genovesa Island, its landscape of volcanic rock, palo santo trees, and boobies in their nests that sing around you.

If I had to choose my favorite island on the entire trip, it would undoubtedly be Santa Fe Island, its crystal clear blue water and clear sand are a beautiful paradise, you can see the bottom of the sea while kayaking, imagine how wonderful it is to see the bottom of the sea by snorkeling or in a glass-bottom boat. It was magnificent to see turtles, manta rays, colorful fish (too many to describe them all), Galapagos sharks, and on the white sand see families of sea lions, while the baby sea lions play in the sea, the male sea lion scares away the Galapagos sharks, without a doubt an impressive event.

Bachas Beach on Santa Cruz Island helped me see Galapagos sharks for the last time and a very unlikely event that we were able to find (How lucky I was!), was seeing Galapagos flamingos with their beautiful pink feathers inside a lagoon while they fed on crustaceans and aquatic vegetation (I would have loved to get a better picture so you could appreciate all the beauty of this animal and its beautiful color.

Finally, it was time to say goodbye and without a doubt, this landscape looked like a scene from a movie, I cannot describe all the beauty that nature offers us in one place such as the Galapagos Islands. It is certainly an experience that left me breathless. If you are thinking of traveling to the Galapagos Islands and you still have doubts, let me tell you that it is an experience that you will never regret. Tell me, now I dream of returning to this beautiful place!
