Suasi Island Exclusive Eco-lodge
Day 1 - Puno / Uros / Taquile / Suasi Island
After breakfast, board a boat at the Casa Andina dock for a 45-minute ride that will take you to the floating islands of the Uros people. The Uros began their unusual floating existence centuries ago in an effort to isolate themselves from the Colla and Inca tribes. Sadly, the Uros language has died out, and today the islanders speak Aymara due to intermarriage with Aymara-speaking clans. Today about 300 families live on the islands. After visiting with the Uros people, continue on to the island of Taquile. The Island’s unique culture, style of dress and lifestyle make for a memorable visit. The men of the community do all the knitting, as this is strictly a male domain, while the women do the spinning. High quality, locally knitted goods are available for purchase at various cooperatives on the island. Early afternoon arrival to the pristine Island of Suasi. More than a place, Casa Andina Private Collection - Suasi Island is an experience. The vastness of Lake Titicaca can be observed from every single room of the hotel, which lies on a mild and sheltered hill next to magnificent Andean terraces full of flowers. Built with local materials such as stone, adobe and totora reed, the hotel is located in the small private island of Suasi, one of the most beautiful and special islands within the whole Lake Titicaca. The island has 106 acres and is home to the four South American camelids.
Day 2 - Suasi Island
Today relax at the lodge or enjoy one of the many eco-activities such as trekking along trails within Suasi Island, visiting protected areas to observe flora and fauna, exploring Andean farming plots and cultivated parcels with aromatic and medicinal herbs, paddling a canoe around Suasi Island, and learning about Suasi’s Solar panel system.
Day 3 - Suasi Island / Juliaca / Cusco or Lima 
This morning you will be transferred by Casa Andina staff overland from Cambria to the airport in Juliaca. This will allow you to explore the northern shore of Lake Titicaca. Board your afternoon flight from Juliaca to Lima or Cusco.
