Galapagos Islands
A visit to the Galápagos Archipelago is a wildlife experience of a lifetime. In this exceptional natural environment the animals have no instinctive fear of humans allowing you amazingly close encounters with unique species such as blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, lava lizards, sea lions, flightless cormorants, and 400-pound giant tortoises. Isolated from the mainland for millions of years, the species on these volcanic islands have simply lost all fear of predators. Charles Darwin called this natural paradise, “a little world within itself.”
