Cotopaxi Summit Climb

One of the world’s highest active volcanoes, Cotopaxi does not require previous climbing experience, although adequate preperatory acclimatization hikes are necessary.  It is a thrilling high altitude adventure comparable to the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft.), Africa’s highest peak, or Everest Base Camp (17,500 ft.).  On a clear day you can see all of the ice-capped mountains of Ecuador from the summit of Cotopaxi.

Our licensed guides have hundreds of ascents under their belts and are experts in ensuring your safety during the climb.  Because the summit of Cotopaxi is covered by glacier, your summit bid requires the use of plastic mountaineering boots, ice axe, harness, and rope team which are provided for you.

Please call or e-mail us for detailed climbing progams with acclimatization hikes.

“It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves”
